Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyum
An Arabic invocation calling on Allah by two of His names — Al-Hayy (the Ever-Living) and Al-Qayyum (the Self-Sustaining) — often recited when seeking help in times of distress.
Drawn from a hadith in which the Prophet Muhammad taught this phrase, followed by "bi rahmatika astagheeth" (by Your mercy I seek relief), as a supplication for hard times.
