Find Urdu

Privacy Policy

What we collect, and what we don't.

Find Urdu is a static dictionary site: there are no accounts, no logins, and no forms that store your data. Here's the actual, current picture.

No accounts, no personal data collection

You don't need to sign up or log in to use Find Urdu, and the site doesn't ask you for your name, email, or any other personal information anywhere except the Contact page, which you'd only fill in if you choose to email us directly.

Hosting and standard logs

Like virtually any website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information for every visit β€” things like IP address, browser type, and pages requested β€” for security and reliability purposes. We also use Google Analytics to understand overall traffic and how people use the site β€” for example, which pages are most visited and roughly how visitors found us. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this; you can opt out using Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or see Google's privacy policy for more on what it collects.

Third-party and embedded content

Four outside services are used directly on the page: Google Fonts, to load the site's typefaces; links out to our YouTube channel for video content; Google AdSense, which serves the ads you may see on some pages; and Google Analytics, which we use to measure overall site traffic. We don't embed video players on our pages β€” every video link takes you to YouTube itself, in a new destination, rather than loading a YouTube player inside Find Urdu. Each of these services is operated by its own company under its own privacy policy, and visiting YouTube, requesting a font file, seeing an ad, or having your visit measured by Analytics all mean that company's policies apply, not ours.

Advertising

Find Urdu shows ads through Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites, and to measure how those ads perform. You can see and adjust how Google personalizes ads to you at Google's Ads Settings, and broader industry opt-outs are available through the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info.

Cookies

The site itself doesn't set its own cookies. Two third-party services do: Google AdSense, which sets cookies for ad delivery, measurement, and personalization (see the Advertising section above); and Google Analytics, which sets cookies to measure site traffic and usage (see Hosting and standard logs above).

Children's privacy

Find Urdu is a general dictionary and language-learning reference, usable by readers of any age, including students. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone through the site itself β€” there's no sign-up form to fill in either way. The one exception is the Contact page: if a child emails us directly, we'd only use that message to reply, and a parent or guardian who'd like a message removed can ask us to delete it via the same page.

Your rights over your data

Because Find Urdu doesn't collect or store personal data beyond what you might choose to send us by email, there isn't much held on you to request, correct, or export. If you've emailed us through the Contact page, you can ask us to delete that message at any time, and we will.

Changes to this policy

As Find Urdu adds features β€” search history, saved words β€” this page will be updated to reflect exactly what's live, the same way our About page is kept honest about what's built and what isn't.

This page is a plain-language draft describing the site's actual current technical footprint. It hasn't been reviewed by a lawyer and shouldn't be treated as legal advice β€” have it checked before relying on it for launch.
